You've heard of the Handy Andy, now there is the Gnarly Narwahl (name still under construction). This tool is for yarn spinners, and helps you spin 2 ply yarn from one single, using a technique called Andean Plying - no waste! less bobbins! The print is super simple; print 1 of Narwhal file and 1 of Narwhal Horn file. You can get a decent print with just draft settings, but 1.5mm, 10% fill, no supports should print just fine. To load the tool with yarn: 1: Insert the horn into the narwhal 2. Hold one end of your single by the tail of the Narwhal (you don't want to lose this end) 3. Bring the yarn behind the horn and around and back to the front 4. Pull the single under the right fin 5. Wrap straight across the backside and bring the yarn to the front from under the left fin 6. From the left fin, bring the yarn up and around the horn, wrapping from right to left 7. Repeat steps 4-7 until out of yarn To ply: 1. Once the Narwhal is loaded, find both ends (don't lose them!) and remove the horn 2. Slide the yarn bundle off the narwhal 3. You can either spin from this bundle or slide the bundle over your wrist 4. Ply! It won't tangle and it's amazing.
