A two sliding member concept is proposed for NASA EAS concept, for simplicity of equipment deployment. A fool-proof design, it could be deployed quickly without any tooling required. Made entirely from aluminium, its simple design would allow conventional manufacturing process (machining) to be used, reducing overall cost.
