NASA Lunar Sampling System Design Challenge- Option 1
grabcad
I am presenting a novel Ground Engagement Tool, featuring an integrated filtration system that separates 1-2cm rocks from regolith smaller than 1cm. A compartment within the tool collects these finer particles while larger rocks accumulate above. Upon container loading (100cm3 capacity), excess rocks overflow and fall away. The rover's robotic arm then seals the sample container, which is detached and secured for return to Earth. Presentation slides are available for review; feedback is appreciated. Additionally, I am developing a refined version of this concept for future submission.
