The model represents a PBM-15 ocean buoy. its diameter in real life is 1.5m and they are commonly used both in calm waters and open sea. Option for two different heights and port / starboard marks are provided: Marks were designed according the IALA worldwide navigation system. For more realism assembling and painting, check IALA-AISM The model was designed using pictures and detailed drawing of the actual structure in scale 1/160 (N scale). You can resize it using your favourite software before print, however, if you do so, some of the parts may lose stability or look over scaled. Model has 5 different pieces (1 for the buoy's lower hull plus 4 different upper hull options) that you need to assembly as any other model kit: I attached an instruction booklet together with the downloaded files. Printing, painting and weathering will give a lot of fun. This model can be a great addition to your layout or diorama. Happy modelling!
