Finding 12V smart switches turned out to be a real challenge. Finally found a WIFI version that can be configured to work seamlessly with Home Assistant, built a housing around it to enclose it and enable normal switching functionality while being controlled by the smart controller. Although this device is primarily cloud-based controlled, it can be configured to use local network only if your router has parental controls to block web access to certain devices, requiring a bit of effort but ultimately worth it for having a 12V powered smart switch. 1.
