NEMA 17 Motor Holder

NEMA 17 Motor Holder

This is a holder for a NEMA 17 stepper motor. It should be compatible with most motors of that size, but I'm not sure. UPDATE!! This was designed for wall mounting the motor, for an AS220 style drawbot. Since my motor has a small shaft coming out the back, I designed some spacers to allow the mount to sit flat. Instructions Cut all parts out of 3mm (1/8\") material. I used baltic birch. Cut one bottom piece (the one with holes in it), and two of the top pieces. Also cut one (or more, depending on rear shaft length) of spacer.dxf. Glue the two top pieces together, and check the fit of your motor. Then glue on the bottom, using the motor to check alignment. Finally, glue on the spacers as shown. Done! The cb files are for CamBam, the CAM program for my mill. This could also be lasercut, you would just eliminate the pocket on the bottom.
