NEMA 34 Variable Reluctance (VR) / Switched Reluctance (SRM) stepper
grabcad
In my initial endeavor to fabricate a model based on a photograph and basic measurements, the original cutaway image served as my reference. Note that this unproven design might not function optimally in practical applications. I intend to evaluate the motor's performance for use in my personal equipment soon. The windings are omitted but are indicated in the reluctor. For enhanced stability, consider securing the sections using milled and press-fit pieces, although it is not included in this design. Given the unique characteristics of these stepper motors, their rotors are smaller as they lack permanent magnets. If you utilize this design for your products, kindly inform me about how you employed it and the outcomes you experienced. This model was crafted using Fusion 360 software.
