NEMA17 & Switch Mounting Bracket for Filament Feed
thingiverse
I designed a custom cabinet for my CR-10 printer to maintain optimal ambient temperatures within my garage workspace. To regulate temperature fluctuations, I utilized a Teensy LC controller paired with Arduino to manage three fans, expertly extracting warm air from the vicinity. Additionally, I aimed to integrate the filament reels directly into the cabinet, necessitating the development of a specialized mount for the NEMA 17 stepper motor and lever switch. Fortunately, this motor was readily available in my workshop. The lever switch mounts securely via a dab of glue, rendering it compatible with any standard switch. Two strategically placed 4.2mm clearance holes enable attachment to a supporting structure, while a single 5mm hole allows for the passage of wires. As the filament is pulled through the system, it triggers the lever switch, which in turn sends a signal to the Teensy LC controller to feed more filament from an A4988 stepper board.
