Nerf Big Shock Mods: Barrel and Rail

3/24/2019 update: Forgot to include short barrel. This was designed to have a metal insert to improve performance. I had a piece of 5/16 ID aluminum tube (polished with 00 steel wool) from my caliburn. Depending on your printer it may be snug or require some sanding to get it to fit - the tolerance is tight. This one will require some fiddling but it worth it. > Nerf Big Shock Mods: My son and I designed (and tested) these mods as a give away for a school fund raiser. The pictures have also mods from others in the community which are linked below - thanks !!!! Objective: Fun, geeky blaster with a bit of Star Wars Han Solo vibe. It fires most types of nerf darts: Megas, Elites, Half (the best), and Rivals (great sound). The performance is significantly better than stock but still quite safe. Add the typical a K25 or 7 kg spring as you see fit. All the mods are completely reversible with no damage or holes. Holographic red-dot sight obviously not included. Original Items: > Mega to Elite barrel (fits Rival too) - Narrow end will depress air restrictor. I removed for this build but you can keep as is. It has 2 notches for o- ring which are recommended for a perfect fit. Probably overkill... > Barrel cover - Dress up and limit insertion into blaster. > Dart stop - prevent the dart from going to far back if you remove air restrictor. Stick in barrel from front and push down with full length dart, then hot glue from the OTHER end to hold in place. Only if you remove the air restrictor otherwise you can skip this part. > Picatinny Rail - This was the hardest part. It allows you to install rail where the spare mega dart normally goes. Optional screw from front sight hole locks in.
