Nerf Mod MKII Trigger - reduced play & magnet return

Nerf Mod MKII Trigger - reduced play & magnet return

I decided to try to design a trigger that had less play in the rear. I got the idea from TacticalCAD as he had a trigger for the recon, but I couldn't import it correctly into my program to change the from and check distance from the catch. So I had to re-design one from scratch. Then I thought...I have rare earth magnets...boom, "magnet return." I know, the stupid names are probably better flipped, but I'm lazy...I'm not even sure why I'm typing all of this....shoot, i'm typing this at work...true story. Anyways. You'll need two rare earth magnets. Go ahead and try to mod the files to suit the magnet you can get, but mine was round ones measured at 6.4 mm in diameter and 1.65 mm in height. The "anchor" magnet fits right into the MKII slot were the stock spring used to sit and it lines up perfectly with the trigger portion. I printed the Trigger upside down with supports as the bottom of the long piece and the top part of the "fin" part on the trigger are the only parts that ride on something. Also, the "U" shaped portion on the front can catch the inner portion of the body, so you can sand and round it down later. For future updates, I will re-mod the sear release a little more as this current design only reduces the slack by about 60% of travel. I'll make it longer to get it as perfect as I can. Plus I'll put up a file to fill in the "U" part of the trigger for those of you that just ripped out the "trigger lock" anyways. I void warranties too. : ******************UPDATED************************* I have three files for you now. I have extended them all an extra 2 mm so they should just touch the rear sear mechanism. Extended Trigger with OEM design Extended Trigger minus the trigger lock notch Extended Trigger with magnet mod and minus the trigger lock notch. I have uploaded all STL and Sketchup files.
