Nerf Rival Phantom Corps AmmoCounter Housing

I really like the Rival line of guns from Nerf. The sub-series of Phantom Corps are just awesome and the [Nerf Rival Phantom Corp Hera](https://amzn.to/2FtaNzP) is beautiful and awesome out of the box. But there's always room for improvement. I'm a little late to the Nerf party but only recently discovered [AmmoCounters](http://www.ammocounter.com) for Nerf guns. Too freaking cool. The guy who makes the ammo counters does make housing for them, but I didn't feel like that matched the Hera to my liking, so I designed this one. I actually wasn't able to get the IR sensor to work, but no big deal. I dug through my crap pile and found a momentary switch. I poked around until I found a good spot to place it (see picture). The other end of the trigger, when released (i.e. the trigger at rest, not pulled) keeps the momentary switched closed. I soldered a pair of wires with a connector, from an old computer case to the switch. I used a bit of sand paper to rough up the plastic on both the switch and spot on the gun and hot glued it into place, then swore profusely as I realized the squeeze out was interfering with the action of the switch. So I let it cool and cleaned out the squeeze out with a knife. I was struggling to figure out a good spot to put the switch to turn the ammo counter on and off and then had the brilliant idea to use it as the front sight for an iron sight. The buttons are the exact same size as the hole in the faceplate so you need to sand/file the buttons down to size or print them slightly scaled down in x and y (but leave z). # Other Mods [Muzzle](/thing:3326823) [Sling Attachment Point](/thing:3356438) (btw, That's an affiliate link up there.
