Nerf Strongarm Barrell Extension

This is a rifled barrel extension for the Nerf Strongarm. I had two hopes when I started this design. Modifiable for future add-ons/customization. Range extension of the darts being fired. Of those the modifiability of the design I believe works but could also still be improved to incorporate the standard Nerf adapter rather that the simple four guides I designed in to this. My ultimate goal in this is to add-on/alter the appearance of the gun to be something different, too which I'm leaning scifi-ish. In that - this I believe is a good start. As to the range extension - well that I really haven't seen. Maybe a little in the standard Nerf darts, but the accustrikes already go pretty far and as it is the Strongarm fires a decent distance without the barrel. At the very least I can say it doesn't diminish distance - except on occasion when the cylinder doesn't quite line up right. That being said I've only experienced this with the accustrike darts and might be due as much to the cylinder as the head design of the dart. Anyways I hope to continue to improve this and have included a short and long variation. Please note the barrel is fairly long and has very little surface contact with the bed. To this end I designed a support system for the printing. They barely touch the barrel and break away even as you remove the barrel from the bed, but it's enough. If you don't want to waste the material though and try without, I've included both versions with support and without. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .1 mm Infill: 20% Post-Printing Light sanding & Tape I recommend lightly sanding the interior of the barrel with some sandpaper wrapped around a pencil or dowel. In addition - while the barrel fits nicely in the strong arm - I designed it with a little wiggle room. I recommend wrapping some masking tape around the barrel below the ring, two to three wraps should be all that is needed. The ring is the point that shouldn't go past the insertion into the Strongarm. The tape I recommend is masking or other compressible tape. Because of the Nerf design that includes a lightly ridged interior barrel, the tape fills in those gaps and gives a tight fit.
