NES Controller Wire Wrap

NES Controller Wire Wrap

thingiverse

I have always had problems with the wires coming out of my NES controllers and they would always become a mess. I decided to create this wire wrap to clip onto the controller so I could keep the wires nice and tidy. Instructions NES-wrapper-2.stl and NES-wrapper-0.skp are actually the same iteration of design, I was just too lazy to rename the .SKP file. While printing, watch out - the thin clip part can easily delaminate from the platform and wreck the print. I would recommend a raft. The wire wrap should slide onto the controller as in the picture and the plug should snap into its respective clip. Depending on your settings, it may or may not fit your controller well. No worries - simply fudge with your Perimeter Width over Thickness setting until it fits. (Most will probably need to increase it. Mine is actually a lot higher than my Infill Width over Thickness.) Do not print in Polylactic Acid (PLA). It will be too hard a material and will either scratch your controller or be too hard to snap the plug onto.
