Nespresso Vertuo Line Coffee Pod Reusable Filter Cap

Reusable filter lid for Nespresso Vertuo line coffee pods. Designed to be used without filter paper. There are different versions with different hole counts. I've been using the 10 hole for espresso with the theory the less holes creates more pressure when spun emulating true espresso brewing. PLEASE USE FOOD SAFE MATERIALS WHEN PRINTING THIS! THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR BACTERIA, MOLD, AND MILDEW TO GROW ON AND INSIDE 3D PRINTED PARTS WHEN USED WITH FOOD! MAKE SURE TO SANITIZE THEM REGULARLY. BOILING THEM FOR 5 MINUTES SHOULD BE ADEQUATE. I used a medium hardness TPU but I'm not sure if its really food safe. I'm willing to take the risk. :\ You can use hard plastics if you want but I would recommend something flexible. Do not use PLA or ABS. PET-G seems okay and natural PP is used in the food industry all the time. Beware of non-foodsafe additives and colorants. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut the foil around the inside edge of the capsule and remove the foil. Put it in the garbage. 2. Dump out used coffee grounds and use them in your garden or flower bed. 3. Rinse/wash empty pod. 4. Fill pod with coffee grounds of your choice. Leave some space so the center can be void and receive water to the bottom of the pod when brewing. You will see this void when removing the foil from a used pod and will know what I'm referring to. 5. Place filter cap on top. The cap should be flush with the inner ridge of the capsule. 6. Place the capsule into your machine and enjoy. 7. Ejection of the capsule can leave grounds and a mess in your bin. 8. Enjoy your coffee!
