This is an adapter plate to let you reuse the Nest Protect gen1 mounting holes for installing a gen2 replacement smoke alarm. The original gen2 mounting plate should fit into the printed model very nicely. You have multiple options for securing it in place: - use a soldering iron at about 190°C and melt the mounting posts gently down (that's what I did)- shorten the mounting posts and go with some short screws- use CA glue and baking soda or epoxy- …
