Network Plate Cover Cage

Network Plate Cover Cage

I designed this part to avoid issues with furniture being rammed into network ports at the schools I service. It's sized to fit the type of plates we use, but the flat backed version should be able to attach on top of just about any wall plate that uses the screws in the normal location like a light switch would. I recommend printing this with 4 or more shells. I personally went with 6. The non-flat versions have an inset for this type of wallplate, right where the paper insert can go for labelling (this is where the screws are, so we need to remove it anyway). This does mean these should print with supports for the outer edge as it will be floating in air otherwise. Alternately, print on their side without supports. The flat versions will work for other types of plates, as well as this one, but don't fit as snug then, and rely on the screws to hold tight to the plate. This can print on its back or side without supports. There are also two taller versions of this for taller cords or more room to run your cords.
