New Concept - Quick Release for Sim Racing Steering Wheels \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ UPDATE: 2/10/2022 Uploaded a Locking ring with a single large handle on the bottom side of the wheel. Uploaded a Wall Mount Hanger \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ This is a design that came to me in a dream. It's like nothing before. It's is narrow at only 32mm which is only 2mm wider that the Wedge style, and 28mm narrower that the conventional Push on styles, however I feel it will be much stronger than any other design because of all the surface contact. Extremely easy install. Simply line up the slots push on, twist locking ring until it snaps and your good to go. I have added a 5mm locking screw hole on top for added security if needed. It includes 2 style Base Mounts. Both include 50mm and 70mm mounting holes. One with a completely flat mounting side and one with the 1.5mm indents for G27 style hubs. The Wheel side have the Center Hub that meshes into the Base Mount, a Locking Ring that spins freely and a Locking Cap to sandwich the trio. These three parts bolt together with the wheel and become one unit. I have included 2, 3, 4,and 5mm Locking caps to allow for distance requirements between the wheel Ring. I will be adding more version along with Button Plates in the future. The Wheel Side Hub also has 3 styles, straight 5mm holes, holes for Inserts and cutouts for 5mm nuts. The Locking ring can be locked in two different handle configurations, Narrow and Wide to accommodate different situations. Please email me if you need a custom handle, I will add it to the thing as well. I left a little free space to allow for variables in printers and printing. I also did this so that strips of black electrical tape can be added to the base side tab to solidify the union and become wear strips. This will allow for tape wear and not PLA wear and add to the longevity of the union. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYO5cN1ga08 James B jameseburroughs@gmail.com
