**This is an upgrade to my simpler design:** New features: -- Has screw holes for attaching to a desk -- Has a hole for feeding the USB cable underneath -- Has a cable guide that lets the stand sit flat on the table if the cable is running under it -- It is low in the middle, and raised on the edges so that the phone is properly centered when in portrait mode (in the center), or raised in landscape mode (sitting on the raised edges). -- Slightly better angles and tighter fit (no tape needed anywhere) -- Little nups on the top of the frame to prevent tipping when in portrait mode. Also, this doesn't have to attach to a desk. I can be used standalone, and the cable guide will allow you to run the cable under it and it will sit flat. But it's pretty light, so you might want to tape it down or something if you don't want it sliding around (especially if you plan to use it while docked). ---- The Nexus 4 wireless charger orb (http://www.amazon.com/Google-Nexus-4-Wireless-Charger/dp/B00BGSPIP2) would be awesome if it would hold the phone reliably to prevent it from slipping off. But most reviews gave it 1 star for being useless because the phone slips off and it doesn't charge anymore. I got it anyway and experienced the same problem. So I made this stand for it which holds the wireless charger upright, and has a little lip to keep it from moving around (but doesn't obstruct the device). It was designed so you can drop the phone on it both upright and sideways, and it will not only charge, but you can use it while it's charging!
