This is a camera body cover for a Nikon F Mount Camera The camera body cover can be used in two ways: Option 1) as a simple camera body cover to prevent dust from collecting on your camera mirror or lens. Option 2) as a pin-hole camera. The pin-hole camera option is based on this tutorial: http://www.howtogeek.com/161794/how-to-take-pinhole-photos-with-a-digital-camera/ I didn't want to damage my original camera body cover and having a 3D printer allows me to create my own! In order to make this part you will need to download and include the library: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1092611 This camera body cover is fully customizable so this can be used with other cameras. You will simply need to modify the model dimensions to fit your camera model. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: MakerFarm i3V 10 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.25mm or less Infill: 20-25% Notes: If you have black filament I recommend you print the body cover using black. If not you will need black spray. Post-Printing Spray paint the cover Paint the entire cover black otherwise light will get through the body cover. It might be best if you use black filament for this. Glue a piece of aluminum foil to the inside of the body cover. Using a small pin, perforate the aluminum foil to create a pin hole. The size of the pin will dictate the amount of light that can enter the pin hole camera. Paint both the exterior and interior of the body cover black Cover before and after painting Sample Image: need to play with camera settings like shutter speed and iso in order to obtain better image results
