Nikon F Mount Lockable Body Cap

To get a fully functional lockable body cap for Nikon F Mount cameras (Dxx, Dxxx and Dxxxx) you will have to print both the bayonet part and the body cap top part and glue them together (I use Revell Contact Professional). The .stl files of these two parts are my design, see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4696190 and in the public domain. By using my design you agree that I am not liable for damages of any kind, in particular to the camera body bayonet and the camera's interiors (e.g. mirror, prism, sensors, lock pin, aperture pin, aperture sensing tab, other mechanics or optics) which are delicate and may be damaged by e.g. my design flaws, parts, splitter or chips breaking off from the 3D printed parts, 3D filament residues and dust, application of even weak force and acts of god. A cap bayonet segment coming off may lead to major internal camera damage. It is therefore important that the segments hold on very well and that you check the integrity of the segments after each cap removal and before installing the lens and taking the first picture. Avoid actuating the camera release while the body cap is mounted because you have no overview of the internal situation (i.e. a segment having come off).
