Nikon Hot Shoe Cover Tested and fits the D5300 hot shoe. I designed this based off http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11744 by TheCase. I am using this as a basis for another thing to bounce the light using a white card or piece of paper. I got that idea while searching for printable Nikon accessories and I found http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12761. Unfortunately it wouldn't clear the flash properly, so I'll be building my own. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 25 How I Designed This I found that the bottom layers may not make the tolerance of the shoe due to the first layer having excess plastic. simple fix is using an razor to shave that. everything else will fit perfectly on the D5300. the CAD was done on Fusion360.
