The 35mm f2.8 lens found on a Nikon L35AF point and shoot camera is rightly highly regarded as a quality 5 element sonnar lens, and is unusually wide for a fixed lens camera. It is not hard to find a broken model as the early electronics driving the AF can be unreliable. Removing the lens is not hard, but requires brute force to cut into the plastic casing. The photo shows the lens unit that emerges. It is not possible to reuse the shutter/diaphragm from the camera when adapting the lens. The usual way of using the lens on a modern camera is to mount the lens unit in an Industar 50-2 with its glass removed so that you can use the Industar to set your aperture. Its blades are very close to the rear of the lens unit so do not vignette. This is an [example from 35mmc](https://www.35mmc.com/28/12/2018/hacking-nikon-l35af-pikaichi-lens-into-the-body-of-an-industar-50-2-by-charles-higham// "example from 35mmc") with some interesting background on the lens. The difficulty with the adaptions around the web is holding the lens unit securely and ensuring that it is perpendicular to the sensor. Blu-tak and O-rings do not ensure this. This thing contains two files. The collar fits round the lens and pops into the front of the Industar 50-2 to hold the lens securely. I needed to do some filing on my print to get rid of a lip at the base of the collar. This can be printed at normal quality. The hood has a screw that goes into the front of the industar. This firmly secures the lens unit into the Industar body. Do not screw it in so tight that it forces the lens unit against the diaphragm so hard that it stops the aperture moving. It also functions as a basic lens hood. This needs to be printed at the highest possible quality as the screw is very fine. Make sure the hood prints with the wide end of the hood as the base. The Industar 50-2 has an M42 mount. You can therefore fix the lens on a modern mirrorless camera with a slim M42 adapter. Mine is used on Sony E mount, but it goes a little beyond infinity so should work with any mirrorless.
