Nintendo 3DS Bottom Shell

Nintendo 3DS Bottom Shell

I made this shell for the O3DS so that I could make my 3DS transparent. This is like the 8th revision of the shell, so everything lines up pretty well. I coated the outside of it in JB Weld Clearweld 5 minute epoxy, using a sacrificial paintbrush. You will most likely need to trim some things with a blade or sand paper. I used a #58 (0.042") drill bit to make the holes for the short screws inside of the shell, and tapped the holes using the longer screws. I left these screws in when applying the epoxy to make sure the epoxy wouldn't seap through the holes. To screw down the battery cover, you will need to get screws that are ~3mm longer than the longest screw that the 3DS uses. I don't know what size screws they are, please let me know in the comments. I may try redesigning it so that the battery cover will clip in without screws.
