3D printed Nintendo character Christmas tree ornaments. The sprite art is taken from Nintendo Entertainment System games The Legend of Zelda (Link), Metroid (Samus), Super Mario Bros. 3 (Mario) and Kirby's Adventure (Kirby). The parts are designed to be printed in different colours: "nes_decorations_black": outer sections of each character (print in black) "nes_decorations_green.stl": Green pixels for all characters (print in green) "nes_decorations_orange.stl": Orange pixels for all characters (print in orange) "nes_decorations_red.stl": Red pixels for all characters (print in red) "nes_decorations_pink.stl": Pink pixels for all characters (kirby's body) (print in pink) All parts should "snap" together. Depending on printing tolerance, some of the 1 x 1 pixel bits can be a bit tricky and might fall out. If so, try adding a tiny dab of glue to get them to jam in. You need a little bit of string to tie to the tops before hanging them in your tree. If you can wait it out, I'd recommend having a go at 0.1 mm layers. Post-Printing Need to snap all the pieces together like a jig saw puzzle. Some of the little bits are quite tricky to handle, so a pair of tweezers might come in handy. You may find this step either peaceful and relaxing (like doing a jigsaw puzzle) or intensely frustrating, depending on your personality :).
