Nintendo Gamecube Switch Dock.

Nintendo Gamecube Switch Dock.

cults3d

This is a 3D printable 9-piece Nintendo Switch Dock facelift, this item snaps onto the front of the existing dock so there are no modifications required to the standard dock. This design required some parts to be glued together such as the two front black feet to the body and the 'Controller plaque' to the backplate. The rest of the print will hold together without any adhesive. To make this print (without paint) you will require: - Black filament. - Light grey filament. - Silver/grey filament. - Optional colour for Gamecube i.e Orange Spice, Indigo, etc. - Adhesive like superglue or hot glue. - Optional "ATI" sticker printed on adhesive backing paper. When printing Body.stl I recommend printing on a glass bed to keep the surface smooth and then sanding it slightly with wet & dry sandpaper working your way through the sheets of smoothness. PLEASE NOTE: During testing of fittings, I noticed that my original day-one dock was slightly larger than my significant others later edition Switch dock. It wasn't massively different however it did require a small amount of blu-tack to keep it steady. We have recently heated the corners with a hairdryer to pinch them so they fit more snugly against her switch eliminating the use of blu-tack. Do not use double-sided tape as a blue-tack replacement as it could damage the paint on the dock! Another note is that the switch dock can get quite warm during extended playing so I did notice some minor warping of my PLA cover so it may be worth printing this in PETG or another more resistant material.
