On the bottom wall of the Gran Riparo d’Archeï (a.k.a. Archeï VII), an apparently isolated rounded shape stands out. This painting closely matches the head (or hairstyle) of one the most renowned Niola Doa engraving, i.e. the third figure holding a stick shown in the Niola Doa “Site 2” (see Fig. 3 in Simonis et al. 1998). A white tripartite mark is also well apparent to the left; it could represent the pendants hanging from the wrist of some Niola Doa figures. Faint remnants of white paint that could represent the shoulder and arm profiles of a vanished figure are visible in enhanced images. On the lower left of the previously described rounded shape, two solid-red figures wearing skirts are shown. Traces of a dashed white decoration survive on the skirt of the first figure to the left. These painted figures are in the same posture to the engraved figure wearing skirts shown in the Niola Doa sites in Wadi Guirchi, 150 km to the NE of the Gran Riparo d’Archei (Texture in CRGB colour space).
