Nissan Leaf Strut Cap

So the standard strut cap that is in the Nissan Leaf is apparently prone to still letting water in. The 3rd 4th and 5th photo show the original cap and the water that is let in. It stops short of the edge of the gasket and water seep in the side.

I've drawn up a new cap that extends down the side to make sure that all the water is shed off outside the gasket.

Should be much better at keeping water out but time will tell.

Original post here about the problem: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21723

As I understand it, this should also fit similar Nissan models like the Juke.

Update: added a model with more of a lip for better retention but it may not fit on your cap depending on the accuracy of your printer. Can try both with different scaling factors.

If someone has an original cap on hand and can measure the dimensions of the clips for me that would be really useful....

Print instructions

Category: Automotive
