Nite Rider makes great lights for mountain biking and road cycling. Super bright and rechargeable. Unfortunately they don't make a mount for you to use their light without a helmet, such as when Cross country skiing at night. I designed this to be used with Nite riders helmet mount. Basically you just use the included straps and clamps to secure to this mount. For mounting to your head I removed on old elastic band from a miners type headlamp made by Rayovac. I added some 3/8" thick foam tape to the portion that presses against your forehead.
