The Nixie tube centering/straightening tool can be used to keep the tube straight while soldering the pins. Included is also the CAD model in Solidworks format. The model is parametrized: if you need a different diameter tool, go in the sketch of the first revolve and modify the global variable "TubeDiam". The model will update accordingly. For a Nixie IN-8-2 the tube diameter is around 18mm but there is some variation +/- 0.2mm. So for best results, print a couple of tools and with a 220 grit piece of sandpaper, enlarge the inner diameter to fit the slightly larger tubes, medium, etc. It doesn't take too much sanding to get the diameter just right (took me no more than 3 minutes). See the included pictures to see the tool in action. I left a little spacing between the bottom LED to the bottom of the tube. A drill bit like shown will make it easier.
