NMBR 9 Game Box

NMBR 9 Game Box

This is a compact container and lid designed specifically for the tile placement game NMBR 9. The original box provided with the game is excessively large, so I created this smaller version that can accommodate all the pieces without any issues. To protect the cards from damage, I crafted a small card sleeve using cardboard stock and a glue stick. Since the rules of the game are straightforward, I decided not to include them in the design, but they could be easily folded up and inserted if needed. This custom box is designed to hold all the standard pieces, but it cannot accommodate the expansion components due to its size limitations. My printer's limited dimensions forced me to print the card slot horizontally rather than vertically, which required using supports during the printing process. However, these supports can be easily removed once the print is complete, and their precise size is not crucial. To minimize the risk of support-related issues, I printed the lid with the text facing downwards towards the print bed. This approach may result in a slightly less aesthetically pleasing top surface but avoids the need for an internal support structure. The design allows for easy cleanup of any excess material, and the text remains legible despite its relatively thin thickness. As a final touch, I have not printed this exact version; instead, I made some adjustments to it after printing a prototype for personal use. Specifically, I corrected one error and added additional material to one side to ensure the box is square in shape. If the lid does not fit snugly onto the box, extra material can be added post-printing to create a secure seal.
