No Snag Zipper

Do you ever find yourself in a hurry to leave, but when you go to zip up your backpack it gets stuck? Me too! That's why I decided to redesign the zipper. In most backpacks there is a small piece of fabric that sticks out over the zipper that will inevitably become caught in the zipper at some point. To keep this piece from lodging itself in the zipper I created a small clip that will hold the fabric in place and away from the zipper. This will allow the zipper to slide smoothly without ever being caught again. I am a senior from Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, California. My instructor is Mr. Colin Denney. This zipper can be printed out of ABS plastic using the FDM method of 3d printing.
