Nobble's 90 Degree USB Adapter (Male/Female) Right Angle

EDIT: Don't forget to LIKE if you Download, and post your Make if you Print it! :) Hello Thingiverse! This is my very first contribution to the site. I wanted it to be useful. While browsing for a USB (male to female) right angle adapter, to keep from knocking into a led light I mounted on my printer, couldn't find any suitable adapters. So I decided to make one! Printed on one of the sides, at .2mm layers on my Creality Ender-3 on a reduced speed setting. NO SUPPORTS NEEDED!!! The install is fairly simple with some DIY knowledge. I took apart an old USB cable for the male end and cut the metal plug out of the casing and soldered a bit of IDE cable roughly 3" long to the 4 pins. Then using a female USB port I had on hand (ebay has them), cut off the parts of metal and plastic that were jutting out from the rest of the casing. So it was nice and flush to fit the hole. (A dremel is your best friend. I used a giant side cutter. Don't do that. You might lose your fingertips.) Push the male end with the wires into the side that says "90* USB" until it is still sticking out far enough to fit into a USB port. (The fit is snug, this is so that it doesn't pop out. Cut away at some of the plastic in the corners of the hole if needed.) Trim the wires so that they are just sticking out enough to solder the female end onto them and still be able to push into the casing. Pull the port to the side, shove a glue gun into the hole, and FILL 'ER UP!!! Then simply stick the female port into the casing completing the adapter! ~I hope this helps those learning the basics of USB connections and adapters.~
