Remix of my Noctua Fan mod: MP Mini Select 3D PLA & PETG 40mm Fan Shroud (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2250288) which is a remix of MP Mini Select 3D PLA & PETG 40mm Fan Shroud (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1676718) that can be used for the Noctua Fan. I believe the original design is great for 40mm fans especially the 1cm thick versions as they don't have as much pressure and there is less backdraft with this design as the air is basically going down. Modification of original design: 1) the shroud nozzle has been extended by 3.5mm to hopefully point more air onto the print. 2) larger holes so one can use the anti-vibration mounts (brown mount in photo). Still only two holes are available. 3) improved the notch where the fan clips attach. No supports needed. The shroud needs to be properly aligned as it is just barely higher than the nozzle. There is a little more blow back, but I think it is made up by more air on the print. I'll let you the user decide. Warning!: Because clearance is so tight, if unintentional artifacts are too high on a print job, the shroud may hit them. Example stringers from initialization, or initial layers being bumpy. Just as with my original remix (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2250288): Also included is a noctua_plug.stl which are meant to be seated in the two far holes of the fan which aren't used for mounting (need to print two). I believe they help leaking air. Extra are noctua_screw_nut.stl, which are a skew/nut that can be used instead of the anti-vibration mounts (need to print two). Especially useful if try to switch to different shrouds. It does make the fan sit lower than the mounts so be careful as the back end of the fan may try and go up. To reduce air leakage can use masking tape around the seam. Print Settings Printer: MonoPrice Select Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.13125mm Infill: 50 Notes: Brim maybe needed for screw/nut & plug. All objects in STL are print ready orientation. Post-Printing Alignment of shroud is important due to tight clearance.
