The Puzzles The Nonagon grid consists of 6-rayed stars and regular nine-corners. The puzzle pieces each consist of one star and 0 to 6 nine-corners. There are 2 different puzzles available: Puzzle 1 contains all 14 Nonagons. Puzzle 2 uses all the puzzle pieces except for part no. 01 and no. 07. Part no. 09 must be printed twice. Besides the shapes shown above, there are a few other shapes you can build with the nonagons. Both puzzles are not very difficult to solve. 3D Printing Tips The size of the sliding top is crucial. If it's too narrow, the bumps on the top won't snap into place. If it's too wide, the top can usually still be inserted, but it becomes difficult to open. If the top doesn't fit, it is advisable to adjust its dimensions in the slicer and reprint it. Recommended adjustments are only small increments ranging between approximately 0.2mm and 0.3mm in width (only in width). Here is a short video explaining this: https://youtu.be/vve-SCg9ln8 I printed the puzzle with the following settings: Material: PLA Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% no supports no raft, no brim Other More information about puzzles whose pieces consist of simple geometric shapes (polyforms) can be found at www.pentoma.de (german) If you like check out my other designs too! https://www.thingiverse.com/pentoma/designs
