Nookduino Toolbox Case
thingiverse
This is a special edition case for the Nookduino. The Nookduino is an Arduino derivative inspired by Animal Crossing New Horizons and the in-game item "Electronics Kit". The mounting pattern is compatible with most standard Arduinos, including the Arduino Uno. I attached the handle to the two handle holder linkages using Locktite Gel superglue. The mounting holes use Threaded M3 knurled inserts. You could modify the files to use the plastic as a mounting surface with self-threading screws, or use standoffs instead. I used a cheap soldering iron to heat the inserts and make them easier to place. The linkages are held to the main body with M3 Nuts and M3x8 bolts (body pieces to linkages) and M3x10 bolts (handle linkages to bottom piece). If you tighten all the bolts, the box will open but it will be stiff. I used some Locktite blue 242 thread locker and then backed the bolt away from the body a half turn so that the linkage could turn smoothly. In the future, I'd like to add bushings or bearings to the box for better movement.
