Norbuk's Cube
thingiverse
This is a brain teaser that bears a striking resemblance to Rubik's Cube when fully assembled, yet functions in a completely unique manner, earning it the nickname "not Rubik's cube," which has morphed into "Norbuk's Cube." It consists of a chain of small cubes linked together at either 90 or 180-degree angles. Each individual cube is capable of rotating freely with respect to its neighboring counterparts. I came across something similar in a single solid color, and I was curious whether introducing additional colors would have a significant impact on the puzzle's overall dynamics. The print itself isn't particularly challenging, but it does boast an impressive number of components. To keep everything in place, an elastic cord is employed. Furthermore, attaching the 110 colorful faces requires a reliable adhesive.
