Nose Clips (for Face Masks) - Seven Varieties

Nose Clips (for Face Masks) - Seven Varieties

thingiverse

I tried all kinds of nose clips available on Thingiverse (found some really clever designs there!) but for some reason none of theme seemed to work for me. Either they would not fit, broke while trying to mount them, would come off, were too slim, too big... So here is my take on nose clips (actually 6 different varieties) for cloth and disposable face masks. I played around with a few ideas (some of which I got from other designs - thanks!). My conclusion: there is simply no "perfect" solution for all. They all have their advantages and drawbacks. For disposable masks I use some kind of clip-on type (like varieties 1 and 2 - use them once, if they break, throw them away), whereas for textile/reusable masks I prefer something that better sticks to the mask (varieties 3 and 4, which can either be sewed or inserted in a pocket or 5, 6, and 7, which are mounted with rivets or sewed to the outside). Either way, try them out and see which one suits you best. Simply scale to any size you need. The clips come in 7 flavors: - Var 1 and 2: Clip-on, mainly for disposable masks - Var 3 and 4: These are rather delicate and can either be inserted into a pocket, between two plies, or sewed - Var 5 and 6: These are meant to be riveted to the in-/outside of the mask - Var 7 (which is my favorite): This one is attached to the mask with a few stitches (makes it stick well, while still being easy to remove / replace) Try them out. I hope one of them works for you. Should be an easy print. - I print mine using a super cheap, strong, and easy to print Carbon Fiber PLA but any strong filament will do. - They all print in 5-10 minutes. Print in PLA, ABS, PETG (the latter having the advantage that they do not tend to break as easily, so take care!) at any infill and minimum (0.28 mm) resolution. Make sure that your skin tolerates whatever material you use. HOPE YOU LIKE IT AND IF YOU LIKE IT PLEASE LIKE IT! Thanks! Enjoy!
