"Not A Gooseneck" System

An adjustable and flexible mounting system for light-duty applications, like a goosneck, but it's not... Instructions This project uses seven lengths of heavy gauge (AWG 12) solid copper wire, bound together with zip-ties and attached to a length of half-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe with hose clamps. A tool is recommended for the zip-ties to ensure a tight bundle. . The PVC pipe sections are then secured to the printed parts with screws as needed. . It holds it's shape remarkably well, but should be considered a temporary solution. Suitable for use with lights, fans, alligator clips, doo-dads and gee-gaws. Makes a fine hat stand. . This works well in conjunction with the PVC pipe construction set, thing:293575. . UPDATE 1-Feb-15: Using the "base1" file and a properly bent piece of the heavy wire you can make a serviceable holder for a few pairs of safety/sun glasses...or keys, jewelry, or whatever.
