#NoTouchChallenge - Hospital Compliant Hand-Free Door Opener

#NoTouchChallenge [French follows] Partage3D is a french collaborative plateform of 3D printing. At the beginning of March, the hospital of Saint-Cloud, near Paris, contacted us to product hand-free door opener. More than a thousand of makers participated and produced 3D objects to fight against the pandemic. The file used has been developed by one of our users. The biomedical engineer in charge of this project at the hospital choosed this file because the hand-free door opener was very strength, ergonomic and respect the hygiene measures. The only problem we had during the designing was the porosity of the pieces because it boosts the development of bacteria and complicates cleaning. The problem was also removed as follows: Preparation of a slurry ABS Printing with ABS Coat with ABS and acetone This project is replicable to all the structures that need it, you can download the file on Thingiverse. Partage3D est une plateforme collaborative d’impression 3D. Début mars nous avons été contactés par l’hôpital de Saint-Cloud (92) afin de produire des poignées de porte mains libres: plus d'une centaine de makers se sont montrés disponibles pour produire ces objets en 3D en vue de lutter contre la propagation du coronavirus. Le fichier développé par un de nos adhérents a su conquérir l'ingénieur biomédical de l'hôpital grâce à sa solidité, son ergonomie mais également son respect des mesures d'hygiènes. Le seul problème rencontrait porté sur la porosité des pièces qui favorise le développement des bactéries et complique le nettoyage. Le problème a également été levé de la façon suivante : Préparation d'un ABS Slurry Impression en ABS Enduit de la pièce avec le mélange d'ABS et d'acétone.
