NPT 1/4" Hex Mounting Socket for Solder Aids / Probe Holders

A simple, hex shaped socket, with a 1/4" female NPT thread and a 5mm countersunk hole in the base. I used them to mount articulating arms to my tiny solder bench. My sockets are mounted on wood, but using the appropriate fastener, this socket could be used on many other materials too. The socket fits a metric 17mm wrench, and the articulating joint can be tightened with a 14mm wrench.
