NuCanoe Frontier Transom Anchor Guide

NuCanoe Frontier Transom Anchor Guide

This transom anchor guide was designed prevent rope wear on NuCanoe Frontier 12 kayaks. It was test fitted on a 2012 and a 2016 F12, although it might fit other models as well. While NuCanoe offers a transom anchor kit for their kayaks, I was not crazy about the design. I wanted something a bit more secure and to be able to remove the anchor and rope from the kayak without having to disconnect the anchor from the rope. The threaded female receiver is installed on inside of the kayak. It has enough clearance to slide over the rope stop (optional) or a knotted rope end for removal. I added thin gaskets (model included) to help buffer the parts and add some “stickiness” to prevent the parts from loosening during use. I would consider them optional. I printed mine in TPU but they could easily be cut from foam, cork, rubber, etc. Threads have an additional .1mm clearance on both parts to allow for some inconsistencies or expansion during printing. I would recommend using a random seam alignment to allow for cleaner threads. Printed in PETG with a small brim to avoid warping. Fusion model is provided. Please note that this has not be field tested yet!
