Nyger Seed Bird Feeder

This is a hanging Nyger (or Niger) bird seed feeder. What is Nyger seed ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guizotia_abyssinica Finches love it. Just hang it on a piece of string, fill it with Nyger seed, and the birds will grab onto it with their talons and feast away. The lid keeps the seed dry by shedding water and slides up and down the hanging string so it won't get lost. Instructions Print both pieces. I made mine yellow because that's the colour of a Nyger flower. Tie a string (or fishing line, or wire) to the hanging bracket on top. Thread it through the lid and tie a loop or, if you really want to get fancy, attach a little hoop (maybe 3D print one !) Then hang it from a tree, or your eaves, or wherever. The finches love it. They just grab on with their talons and pig out. I've seen a half dozen on mine at once swinging around having a feast.
