Nylon Wire Tie Anchor Mount - For Cable Support

Nylon Wire Tie Anchor Mount - For Cable Support

prusaprinters

I have been building machines such as 3D printers and drawing robots that need a cable of wires supported while being routed out to a moving assembly. I use 24" nylon wire ties as a support to the cable bundle. This Thing is an end mount or support point for each end of the cable. It accepts a 9 mm wide nylon wire tie. The wire tie slides into a slot and then can be screwed in through a hole or clamped in using a 3 mm nut. I have provided two versions; one for gluing to a location and the other with mounting holes. With one of these mounts on each end of the nylon wire tie, the cable can be gracefully supported without strain. The photos show the glue in place version which I attached using Cyanoacrylate Glue (Crazy Glue).

You will need a 3 mm nut and a 3 mm x 5 mm screw to create the clamping version. If you leave the nut out, you can drill a 3 mm hole through the wire tie and run the screw right through the wire tie to retain it.

Print Settings

Printer:

HyperCube

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.1mm

Infill:

50%

Notes:

I don't use supports but you may want to.
