Nymphe dite Aréthuse (Nymph, also known as Arethusa was commissioned in 1706 from Claude Poirier and Jean Hardy to replace a lead cast of the Nymph produced around 1705. The marble statue was completed in 1711 by Poirier alone, and placed as a companion piece to Jacques Prou’s Amphitrite, on one of the fountains decorated with imitation rocks and large, colorful leaden birds, in the grounds of the Château de Marly. Since 1933, sculpture groups from Marly have been exhibited in the Cour Marly, where the Nymph, listed as a national treasure and purchased with the financial assistance of the AGFcompany, has now joined the Amphitrite by Jacques Prou, which was purchased by the Louvre in 1975 after being identified in a sale without catalogue. Nymphe Arethuse sculpture is a digital detailed high polygon 3D model. This 3d model was created by ZBrush 4R8 and exported to STL and OBJ formats. This 3d model is prepared to physical production by 3d printing, CNC machining and for making a mold for casting in gypsum, plastic, metal, chocolate etc. Also it can be used for interiour design and vizualizations.
