O Scale Flatbed Car

O Scale Flatbed Car

Thingiverse says my picture sizes is too big, so I cant upload them here. This is a train car I decided to print for fun. It doesn't require any external parts. I can't find the original post (it was a 3 rail gondola car) from where I modified the trucks from, so I'm posting it here. In order for this to print correctly, you will need to use supports. I used ultimaker Cura after editing it on tinker cad (I cant figure out how to use anything else) and put the supports on. I only put the infill % at 10%, but that was to save time printing. It would operate a lot better if you put it at 100% because of the extra weight would help it turn better (it derails a lot) and help improve quality. It doesn't run the best, but is fun to try to make. To make the trucks, you use thin pliers to pull off the supports. Then you take a wheel, put it on an axle, then stick it into the truck, repeat. Next take the cuple section, face the ring part up, then put the 2 pins in the holes. Finally, put the 2 bigger pins through the flatbed section. Now you have your flatbed car! The cupler is not the best. It struggles on Lionel fastrack 036 turns to strait sections while connected to some other train cars, especially to each other. I also recommend putting a weight on it like I had in one of the pictures. Feel free to edit it if you want. This is also partially a prototype too. Ask me for any questions! Enjoy!
