I have no idea what I'm doing and this is my first real creation.

Backstory:

I had a selfie stick that also acted as a tripod. I used it as a tripod but it was top-heavy. So with heavier phones, it would topple instantly. I decided to take the extending pole out of the handle/tripod stand and make a mount for it. It can hold my iPhone 13 pro but I get the feeling over time it's going to sag or break where it's screwed in. no concerns with lighter phones.

How it works/notes:

The mount head rotates around 360 degrees and the whole head rotates in the bracket 360 degrees on a pin. I used little notches to create positions. since pressure with the pin and clip wasn't enough to hold heavy things in place to allow true 360 positionings.

originally used a smaller pin to hold it together but it's very snug. thought I would break it by rotating it, so I made one an extra 3mm longer and added a small spring to allow some flex for the notches and keep everything snug, a spacer/bushing might work too.

The mount head connects to the cylinder using a random screw I found, if I figure out what kind of screw ill update this. but it's probably better you find “proper” hardware The screw has a washer and a spring to provide pressure on the head to try and keep it snug to the cylinder.

TLDR:

Screw>Spring>washer>holes>screw in

the pin might need to be sanded a little and the holes will fight you. I used a drill bit to clean up and widen the holes a little for a nice fit, I'm not good with tolerances yet.

obviously, you can change it to allow the mounting of whatever you need, I just had a simple pole to attach and junk hardware to use.
