Octagonal Restrictor for No-name chinese light up joystick

This is an octagonal gate for the mini ball top led joysticks, usually packaged with some buttons and a zero-delay encoder, you can buy on that one big auction site. they come with a square plate, which I didn't really like the feel of, so I found Jiisuki's design and decided to build from it. I changed the Diamond in the middle to an octagon, and I slimmed up the design, as well as removed the little plastic dippity-doots on the plate. This is a work in progress, so I may come up with improvements later on. I'm still fairly new to the 3d printing community, and if making this remix caused any violations of the rules, please feel free to let me know so I can take it down.
