These gliders soar incredibly well when you master the art of launching them. Hold the chassis firmly with your thumb and forefinger, imagining your hand as the back of a stretched rubber band, and gently push forward - at first, take it slow! I'm an engineering instructor at a prestigious High School academy, passionate about promoting aeronautical engineering through our PLA Glider CAD and flight challenge. This October-designed glider outperforms anything I've ever printed before, but it requires printing with high-quality PLA, using .25 layers, 1 or 2 perimeters, and top/bottom layers, along with infill between 10 and 25%. I highly recommend changing the color after the first layer if you'd like. However, keep in mind that while Cura, Slic3r, and Simplify3D can be adjusted to optimize the first layer, it's essential to ensure it's rich in material and laid down with a smooth, smooched texture on the bed to create a strong, fused bottom layer. To fly it effectively, grasp it by hand, adjust the tail wing, and gently bend the entire fuselage to control lift levels.
