Raspberry PI Case for QIDI Tech 1 (featuring OctoPrint)
Raspberry PI Case for the QIDI Tech 1 printer. If you are using OctoPrint then this will be handy. The case might also fit the creator forge.
Compatibility
- Fits a Raspberry Pi B+ (and probably a Pi3) with the ports facing up when mounted on the right side of the printer - If you are using Octoprint, then this would be fine to use with a webcam, but NOT the built in pi camera port since it won't easily reach. - Requires swapping to the slightly longer screws that come with the printer. - Snap on Lid!
Other notes
- Mounts on right side of printer. - Board mounts to the LID not the PRINTER - Requires SUPER GLUE on the mounting pegs to hold the Raspi. STL and f3d (Fusion 360) files included.
Setting up OctoPrint with QIDI
See https://octoprint.org/ You will need the standard OctoPrint setup, plus the GPX plugin for OctoPrint to convert gcode to x3g. The GPX plugin is BUGGY! Have your finger over the 'cancel print' button on the printer, or it will sometimes grind the filament before the extruder heats up. Kind of annoying but works like a dream otherwise. Under GPX Settings - Choose "Replicator 1 - Dual Extruder" -- this is the correct steps per mm
