This is an adapter for putting generic ultrawide Chinese 10x/22 23.2mm microscope eyepieces onto an older style Wild/Leica straight-through stereo microscope head. The 23.2mm stem can be unscrewed, and then the optics thread onto this adapter. This model of eyepiece has to sit fairly low on the ocular to achieve parfocality so this design clamps onto the outside of the ocular rather than sliding inside it.
